A summary of the process for signers on the Notarize platform, from start to finish!

 

To notarize a document using our platform, Notarize.com, signers must be at least 18 years old and the document(s) must be intended for use in the United States.

 

Signers must have the following for their meeting with your LET A VET notary:

1. U.S. social security number

2. Government-issued photo identification (see this PARTIAL list of acceptable IDs)

3. Driver’s license

4. Passport

5. State ID card

6. Passport Card - ONLY WITH VISIBLE SIGNATURE

7. Work permits

8. Permanent resident card

9. Current or previous U.S. address

10. A device that meets minimum system requirements, including audio and video capabilities

11. A strong internet connection

Let's get started

1. Using a device that meets the Minimum System Requirements to Complete Transactions on Notarize, choose one of the following methods:

   • Visit our website from a computer or mobile device

   • Download the Notarize app for Apple

   • Download the Notarize app for Android

2. Sign up for a Notarize account using the app or website.

3. Upload your document(s):

   • Upload a Document via Mobile App

4. Annotate or complete your document(s).

5. Provide your personal information (name, date of birth, last 4 digits of U.S. social security number, current or previous U.S. address).

6. Verify your identity.

   • Correctly answer 5 security questions within 2 minutes.

   • Take pictures of the front and back of your photo ID, including your secondary ID if required for your document.

7. Agree to the Notarize fee and connect via video call with a notary.

8. Follow the notary's instructions during the notarization session.

9. The notary ends the call.

10. Pay for the notarization.

After the call, you'll see a page where you can email, print, or download your documents immediately. You will also receive an email with a link to your document(s), or you can log in to your account to access your document(s).
